How do I create tickets or registrations?

Creating tickets or registrations is easy! Tickets usually collect minimal information, whereas registrations often require more attendee details—but it's completely up to you which one to use. You'll be asked to choose between the two when creating your event draft, although you can switch at any time.

  1. Once your event draft is created, click EVENT DETAILS in the left-side menu, and select Registrations/Tickets.
    • Either Registrations or Tickets will appear based on your selection earlier in the event creation process.
    • You can switch between selling Tickets or Registrations at any time by clicking Change to Registrations (or Change to Tickets).
  2. At the top of this page, you’ll see settings that apply to all ticket/registration types:
    • Event Capacity
    • Currency
    • Quick access to Settings for fees and taxes
Note: Fees are set to be charged on top of the ticket price by default, but you also have the option to absorb them. Taxes are collected by default for US accounts, and can be customized for those outside the US. For more details about taxes, see this article: How do I add taxes to my event?

  1. To create a new ticket/registration:
    • Give it a Name, set the Inventory (leave blank for unlimited), and assign a Price.
    • Select a Tax category (required if Tax Automation is turned on).
    • Click the gear icon to open additional settings.
  2. To add additional ticket or registration types, click Add Another Ticket (or Add Another Registration) and customize their settings as needed.

  3. Once you are done adding Tickets/Registration, click SAVE at the bottom of the page. 

Customization Options

Description: Appears under the ticket name on the event page.

  • To add a description, enter text in the Add a description to your ticket/registration box under the Ticket/Registration name.

Availability: Choose where the ticket will be sold and between which dates.

  • Toggle the Visible to option between Public or Hidden.
  • Use the Available To Buy option to set whether the ticket is available online or on-site.
  • Use the Starts & Ends field to determine when tickets are available for sale.
  • Hosting a free event? You can toggle Hide Price if it's set to $0.00.

Additional Optional Features

Price Changes:

  • By Date & Time: Set when a new price goes into effect.
  • By Inventory: Change the price when remaining inventory reaches a certain level.
  • You can add multiple price changes.

Restrictions on People:

  • Add restrictions by Gender, Age, Minimum/Maximum Purchase Per Order, or Location.
  • You can also enable Access Codes to restrict access to a specific group.

Pro Tip: When viewing your event in Preview Mode, any ticket/registration selections will not result in real orders. This is a great way to test your setup without generating test data.
