There may be situations where you need to delete a live event, such as in the case of a cancellation or wanting to remove a test event. If no money has been collected for the event, you can move it to the Completed tab in your Org Summary, preventing further registrations.
If you have collected money from attendees, you must process refunds before completing the event. Find out how to issue refunds here: How do I provide an attendee with a refund?
If no money was collected, or once refunds have been issued for your event, take the following steps to make the event appear as Completed.
- Log In to your Events.com account.
- Open your live event.
- Click the EDIT button in the top right corner.
- In the DETAILS section, locate the Date and Time field. Change the event end date to a date in the past.
- Click SAVE to finalize the change.
Once saved, your event will appear in the COMPLETED tab which will prevent anyone from registering for your event.
Pro Tips: To further remove event information, we recommend changing the event name, hiding the location and deleting the description.
