The Affiliate Program provides you with all of the features needed to start affiliate marketing with promoters. This is a popular tactic to drive sales and generate significant online revenue.
Affiliate marketing on Events.com is the process by which a promoter earns a fee for the resulting sales from marketing an event organizer’s registrations/tickets. The event organizer can add as many promoters as they want. The promoter, earns a fee from every sale they make (set by you). The sales are tracked via affiliate links from one website to another.
Getting Started
-
Click Affiliate Program in your organization menu.
-
In the Affiliate Program section, you can add promoters (people who will be selling on your behalf).
-
Enter the following details for each promoter:
- Promoter Name
- Unique Code (added to their custom URL)
- Referral Fee (amount earned per sale)
- Applies To (select which events this applies to)
-
If you’d like to track a promoter’s progress separately for different events, select one event in the Applies To dropdown, then click + to add another code for a different event. (Click x to remove it.)
- A promoter can also have multiple codes for one event if they want to track different marketing methods or distribution channels.
-
Once you've finished adding promoters, click SAVE.
Sharing Affiliate Links
- You can copy the affiliate link (from the Generated Link dropdown) and send it directly to the promoter.
- Alternatively, click EMAIL PROMOTER to send an Affiliate Program Invitation.
Creating an Affiliate Program Invitation
- Add a custom message.
- Select an email contact to be included in the message.
- The invitation will automatically include details such as the custom link, event date & time, and referral fee.
- Click Sample Email to preview the invitation.
- When ready, click SEND.
Tracking Promoter Progress
Once your affiliate program is running, you can track performance at any time:
- Click List of Promoters to see all active promoters and the number of registrations/tickets they have sold.
- If a promoter has multiple codes, click the down arrow to view individual code performance.
- You can also download a report to see detailed transaction data for registrations/tickets associated with each promoter.
If you choose a custom agreement, we recommend copying and pasting the affiliate link directly for your promoter instead of using the Affiliate Program Invitation, as the invitation will confirm the referral fee details set in the system.
